U6 snRNA genes are typically involved in the essential process of pre-mRNA splicing as part of the spliceosome machinery, but pseudogenes such as RNU6-693P are non-coding, do not produce functional RNA, and are generally considered non-functional remnants of their parental gene[5][1]. There is no documented evidence that RNU6-693P encodes a functional product or participates in known biological pathways. It is not referred to as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter, nor does it have therapeutic targeting relevance in current biomedical research[5][6]. While some pseudogenes can be transcribed and act in gene regulation, there is no data indicating such a role for RNU6-693P specifically[5][6][4].
