RNU6-761P (RNA, U6 small nuclear 761, pseudogene) is a pseudogene in the human genome that does not code for a functional product. It is related to the U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene family but is considered non-functional, lacking the capability to contribute to RNA splicing or any other known cellular process. Like other U6 snRNA pseudogenes, it results from the genomic duplication or retrotransposition of the functional U6 snRNA gene but does not produce an active snRNA molecule. There is no evidence suggesting that RNU6-761P plays a role in disease, is a therapeutic target, or interacts with any drugs[7][6][5].
