RNU6-800P is a non-coding RNA pseudogene belonging to the U6 small nuclear RNA family[4][5]. Pseudogenes like RNU6-800P are derived from genuine U6 snRNA genes, which are involved in the catalytic core of the spliceosome complex responsible for pre-mRNA splicing in eukaryotes[1][3]. The RNU6-800P sequence has substantial but incomplete homology to functional U6 snRNA, often showing sequence repeats and retaining authentic 5′ and 3′ ends[5]. Unlike the parent U6 snRNA, RNU6-800P does not produce a functional RNA and has no known biological roles, disease involvement, or drug interactions.
