Pseudogenes like RNU6-842P generally do not produce functional RNAs and are not involved in the splicing process. While some pseudogenes may act as regulatory non-coding RNAs in specific disease contexts[4], there is no evidence supporting a functional or therapeutic role for RNU6-842P.
