RNA, U6 small nuclear 895, pseudogene (RNU6-895P) is a non-protein-coding RNA gene classified as a pseudogene derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA gene family[5]. While U6 snRNA plays a critical role in the splicing of pre-mRNA as part of the spliceosome in eukaryotic cells[1][3], the "895" pseudogene variant is not functional for splicing and does not produce a functional snRNA or protein product. Pseudogenes such as RNU6-895P may act as genomic "relics" and sometimes participate in regulatory non-coding RNA activities, but there is no evidence that RNU6-895P itself acts in these capacities. It is not associated with any known drug interactions, validated disease roles, or biomarker use, and it is not considered a therapeutic target[5][4].
