RNU6ATAC21P is a human pseudogene-derived non-coding RNA that resembles the small nuclear RNA U6atac, but due to mutations or evolutionary changes, lacks known protein-coding function and does not encode a functional snRNA[1][5]. Pseudogenes like RNU6ATAC21P are transcriptionally inactive or may produce RNA with uncertain biological function, although some pseudogenes in general are known to participate in gene regulation through non-coding RNA pathways such as miRNA decoys or RNA interference[3]. There is currently no evidence that this pseudogene is involved in disease, interacts with drugs, or serves as a therapeutic biomarker.
None established. Mechanisms observed for other pseudogenes (miRNA sponge, siRNA generation, antisense regulation) have not been reported for RNU6ATAC21P specifically.
