However, recent genomics research shows that some pseudogenes can be transcribed into non-coding RNAs and might modulate the expression of their parental gene through RNA interference, epigenetic regulation, or acting as competing endogenous RNAs. Still, there is currently no evidence for such regulatory function or disease involvement for RNU7-185P specifically[2][4][6].
