U7 snRNA itself is a noncoding RNA crucial for the processing of histone pre-mRNAs, particularly through its role in recruiting factors for the 3′-end formation of replication-dependent histone mRNAs[2]. However, RNU7-37P is a processed pseudogene, lacking the necessary sequence or regulatory elements for producing a functional RNA product. It does not contribute to normal biology, known pathology, or serve as a drug target, and is mainly of relevance in genome annotation[5][8][9].
