Target intelligence / Profile preview
RNA, U7 small nuclear 55 pseudogene (RNU7-55P) is a predicted non-protein coding RNA pseudogene, derived from the gene family encoding U7 small nuclear RNA. The canonical U7 snRNA is essential for the 3' end processing of replication-dependent histone pre-mRNAs in eukaryotes, functioning as part of the U7 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein complex (U7 snRNP)[1]. The pseudogene RNU7-55P is considered a genetic remnant and currently lacks evidence for biological activity, involvement in disease, or value as a therapeutic or diagnostic target[2].
