U7 small nuclear RNA is part of the U7 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (U7 snRNP), which plays a key role in histone pre-mRNA processing[1][2][3]. However, as a pseudogene, RNU7-6P does not code for a functional RNA or protein; it is regarded as a non-functional copy or relic of the U7 snRNA gene and does not serve known biological functions or therapeutic targeting purposes[5].
