RNA, U7 small nuclear 80 pseudogene (RNU7-80P)

RNU7-80P (RNA, U7 small nuclear 80 pseudogene) is classified as a pseudogene, meaning it is a genomic DNA sequence similar to a known gene but is generally considered nonfunctional; it does not encode a functional product and has no established biological function, involvement in disease, or interactions with drugs. It is a presumed non-functional copy closely related to genes coding for U7 small nuclear RNA, which in its active form (not as a pseudogene) is part of the U7 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) complex required for processing histone pre-mRNA[7].
