RNA binding region (RNP1, RRM) containing 3 pseudogene 1" (RNPC3P1) is a **pseudogene** in the human genome related by sequence homology to the functional RNPC3 gene, which encodes a protein involved in pre-mRNA splicing as part of the minor (U12-type) spliceosome[1][3]. However, as a pseudogene, RNPC3P1 is generally considered *non-protein-coding and not known to have a direct biological, pharmacological, or therapeutic function*. While emerging research shows some pseudogenes can modulate gene expression via RNA mechanisms or serve as competing endogenous RNAs, there is currently no direct evidence or database annotation that RNPC3P1 does so[4]. RNPC3P1 is *not a canonical drug target, receptor, enzyme, or transporter*, and there are *no known drugs or disease associations*. Its entry in key genomic and protein databases is limited to sequence annotation and homology to RNPC3.
