SEC22 homolog B2, pseudogene (SEC22B2P) is a human genomic locus annotated as a pseudogene. It shares sequence similarity with SEC22B, which encodes a vesicle trafficking SNARE protein involved in endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to Golgi transport, but SEC22B2P itself does not encode any functional protein and has no known biological or therapeutic role[1][5]. Occasionally, pseudogenes are studied for roles in regulation of their parental genes, but no such regulatory function is documented for SEC22B2P in the available data. If you meant SEC22B (the functional gene), that is a vesicle-trafficking SNARE protein implicated in ER-Golgi transport, cell biology, and some disease roles—but SEC22B2P is definitely a non-functional pseudogene[1][5].
