SH3GL1P2 is a pseudogene of SH3 domain containing GRB2 like 1, endophilin A2 (SH3GL1), and is found in the human genome. It is also referred to as CNSA-P2 and SH3GLP2. Pseudogenes are nonfunctional segments of DNA that resemble functional genes but do not encode a functional protein product. There is no evidence that SH3GL1P2 produces a protein or is involved in any biological pathways, disease roles, or therapeutic interactions. It is not considered a therapeutic target. The functional gene, SH3GL1, encodes endophilin-A2, a protein involved in endocytosis and possibly the cell cycle, but SH3GL1P2 is a pseudogene and does not share these properties. There are no drugs, disease associations, or safety concerns relevant to SH3GL1P2 as it does not produce a protein or serve as a biomarker.
