Sorting nexin 3 pseudogene 1, Y-linked (SNX3P1Y), is a human pseudogene located on the Y chromosome and designated by several genomic databases as non-protein-coding. It is related by sequence homology to Sorting Nexin 3 (SNX3), a gene that encodes a member of the sorting nexin family of proteins involved in endosomal trafficking, but SNX3P1Y itself does not produce a functional protein and has no known biological activity or disease association[4][2]. Therefore, it is not a molecular target for therapeutic intervention or biomarker development. If you are interested in the functional gene, Sorting Nexin 3 (SNX3), it is a phosphoinositide-binding protein involved in endosomal and vesicular trafficking and protein sorting, with roles in regulating homeostasis and receptor recycling, but this is different from SNX3P1Y, which is inactive as a gene product[4][6][3][7].
