T cell differentiation, maturation, and proliferation refer to the tightly regulated processes by which T lymphocytes (T cells) develop from hematopoietic stem cells into mature immune effector cells capable of recognizing and responding to antigens. These processes are essential for adaptive immunity. It includes stages such as double negative stage, beta selection, double positive stage, positive selection, and negative selection, ultimately leading to the generation of helper T cells (CD4+) and cytotoxic T cells (CD8+). Upon encountering specific antigens, naive T cells become activated, proliferate through clonal expansion, and generate effector or memory subsets.
