Target intelligence / Profile preview
Telomeric repeat binding factor 2, interacting protein pseudogene (ENSG00000287194) is a non-coding genomic sequence similar to the functional gene encoding the telomeric repeat binding factor 2, interacting protein (TERF2IP), but lacks the ability to produce a functional protein. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but are non-functional; they are sometimes transcribed but typically do not encode proteins or exert regulatory effects. As such, this pseudogene does not have molecular function, biological roles, nor relevance as a therapeutic target.
