Testis expressed transcript, Y-linked 6 (TTTY6) is a non-coding RNA located on the human Y chromosome, found in the palindromic regions of the male-specific region (MSY)[1][3]. It is expressed specifically in testicular tissue and is considered part of a family of Y-linked, testis-expressed non-coding RNAs[3][5]. The function of TTTY6 is not well defined, but it may play a role in male germ cell development or regulate other genes relevant to spermatogenesis[3][5]. Unlike protein-coding genes, TTTY6 and related lincRNAs have no open reading frames and primarily function at the RNA level, though the mechanisms for TTTY6 are currently unknown in detail[4][7][8]. There are no established disease associations, drug interactions, or mechanistic details for TTTY6 itself as of the latest research.
