Testis-specific transcript, Y-linked 9B (TTTY9B) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on the Y chromosome that does not encode a protein and is predominantly expressed in testicular tissue[5][8][6][3]. It belongs to the class of antisense lncRNAs and is considered part of a family of testis-specific, non-coding transcripts expressed in the male-specific region of the Y chromosome[5][7]. Although its precise biological function is not well characterized, related Y-linked lncRNAs have been implicated in spermatogenesis and genetic fitness, with loss or deletion of similar transcripts associated with male infertility[1]. TTTY9B is not considered a therapeutic target, and there is no current evidence for drug interactions, biomarker use, or disease roles beyond potential involvement in testis-specific gene regulation[5][8][6][7].
