Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tetanus toxin, in its toxoid form, is an inactivated version of the potent neurotoxin produced by Clostridium tetani. It is used as a vaccine antigen to stimulate the production of antibodies, thereby conferring immunity against tetanus without causing the disease. The toxoid is prepared from cultures of C. tetani, detoxified with formaldehyde, and purified.
Induces antibody production against tetanus toxin, providing protective immunity.
