TEX26 antisense RNA 1 (TEX26-AS1, also known as LINC00447, long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 447) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) mapped to chromosome 13 (positions chr13:30881933-30933846 on the hg38 genome)[3][4]. As an antisense transcript, TEX26-AS1 is thought to regulate the sense gene TEX26, potentially influencing its expression post-transcriptionally and/or by modulating transcriptional activity[5][7]. Like other antisense and long non-coding RNAs, it may play roles in chromatin organization, transcriptional interference, and gene regulation but has not been described as a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or marker in current literature[3][5][6][7]. There are no known biomarkers, disease associations, or pharmacological interactions reported specifically for TEX26-AS1. While “LINC00447” and related alternatives are correctly associated as aliases, there is no current evidence for TEX26-AS1 being directly involved in a disease mechanism or being a direct molecular therapeutic target[3][4][5].
