Target intelligence / Profile preview
TGFB-induced factor homeobox 2-like, Y-linked (TGIF2LY) is a member of the TALE/TGIF homeobox family of transcription factors, encoded by a gene located in the male-specific region of chromosome Y. It is believed to have transcriptional regulatory functions and may act as a regulator of its chromosome X homolog TGIF2LX. TGIF2LY and related TGIF family members are implicated in processes like cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Disruption or dysregulation of TGIF family genes, including TGIF2LY, has been associated with several cancers. However, TGIF2LY has no established role as a direct therapeutic drug target or as a clinically recognized biomarker[1][2][3][4][5].
