Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tripartite motif containing 60 pseudogene 9, Y-linked (TRIM60P9Y) is a processed pseudogene mapped to the human Y chromosome (HGNC:38459)[5][1]. Pseudogenes are genomic sequences similar to known genes but are generally non-functional due to sequence disruptions or lack of regulatory elements[3][7]. While some pseudogenes may modulate cellular functions through non-coding RNA mechanisms (e.g., miRNA decoys, competitive endogenous RNAs)[3][7], there is no evidence associating TRIM60P9Y with any specific regulatory role, biological function, disease involvement, or drug interaction. It is not regarded as a therapeutic target or functional protein. The existence of TRIM60P9Y reflects the complex structure of the Y chromosome, which includes multiple pseudogenes with little or no direct biological activity[4][8][2].
