The tubulin cytoskeleton in endothelial cells is a dynamic network of microtubules composed of α- and β-tubulin dimers. It maintains cell shape, supports intracellular transport, regulates cell division, and mediates responses to mechanical and chemical stimuli. Microtubule dynamics directly control endothelial permeability by altering cytoskeletal organization. Disruption or abnormal regulation of tubulin/microtubule networks contributes to pathologies such as edema. Pharmacological agents targeting microtubules can be used experimentally.
