Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tumor antigens in solid tumors are molecules—often proteins or glycoproteins—expressed on the surface of cancer cells. These antigens can be recognized by the immune system and are key targets for immunotherapies. They are generally tumor-associated antigens (TAAs), overexpressed on tumor cells but potentially present in some normal tissues, or neoantigens arising from tumor-specific mutations. Heterogeneous expression and potential for off-target effects pose challenges for therapeutic targeting.
