Overview

Tumor antigen-specific cytotoxicity via genetically modified autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) refers to a therapeutic strategy in which TILs—immune cells naturally present within a patient's tumor—are isolated, genetically engineered to enhance their ability to recognize and kill cancer cells expressing specific antigens, expanded ex vivo, and then reinfused into the patient. This approach is a form of adoptive cell therapy (ACT) that aims for highly personalized and targeted cancer treatment.
