Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tumor cells that lack functional p53 protein, a critical tumor suppressor. The loss of p53 function leads to uncontrolled cell proliferation, genomic instability, immune evasion, and resistance to therapy. These cells are characterized by an increased capacity to accumulate mutations and form aggressive tumors.
Restoration/reactivation of mutant p53 function; Targeting pathways upregulated due to loss-of-p53 such as immune checkpoints (PD-L1), angiogenesis factors (VEGF), or inflammatory mediators.
