WD repeat domain phosphoinositide-interacting protein 3, pseudogene (ENSG00000267404) is classified as a pseudogene related to the protein-coding gene WDR45B (also known as WIPI3), a member of the WD40 repeat–containing protein family involved in autophagy in its functional form. This pseudogene does not encode a functional protein and, therefore, has no known biological function or relevance as a therapeutic target. The protein-coding version, WDR45B, encodes a component of the autophagy machinery, but the pseudogene itself is not implicated in disease or drug targeting[4][6].
