Zinc finger protein 75C, pseudogene (ZNF75CP) belongs to the zinc finger protein family, which typically consists of DNA-binding transcription factors containing zinc finger motifs involved in gene regulation, cell differentiation, immune response, and other functions. However, as indicated by its designation as a pseudogene, ZNF75CP is regarded as a nonfunctional copy of the original zinc finger protein 75C gene and does not encode a functional protein. This loss of function results from internal mutations or loss of coding/regulatory sequences. Pseudogenes like ZNF75CP may occasionally retain regulatory effects at the RNA level, but there is no evidence this specific pseudogene participates in disease or serves as a therapeutic target. Although zinc finger proteins can play key roles in transcription regulation and are sometimes linked to cancer and other diseases, ZNF75CP itself does not demonstrate functional protein expression nor established pathogenic or therapeutic roles.
