However, ZNF859P itself is non-functional and therefore not implicated in any known biological processes, disease roles, or drug interactions. Pseudogenes like ZNF859P are common in the genome and generally serve no known regulatory or coding function, although some pseudogenes can acquire regulatory roles through RNA transcripts (not established for ZNF859P)[6].
