Company intelligence / Profile preview
Åmic developed innovative low-cost, high precision molded polymer parts for use in point-of-care diagnostics. The company shifted from being a technology incubator to a product-focused business targeting the diagnostic market with OEM solutions. It was acquired in 2008 by a major IVD player and subsequently became part of GE Healthcare. The original Swedish site has since been closed, with the technology transferred abroad. No current independent clinical results as the company no longer operates independently.
