χ-Pharma is a French biotechnology company specializing in the discovery and development of therapeutic peptides and peptide mimics. Spun out from Sorbonne University and supported by SATT Lutech, the company utilizes a proprietary design platform to create high-affinity ligands for challenging protein-protein interactions. Its lead candidate, PKHB1, is a thrombospondin-1 mimic that acts as a CD47 agonist to induce immunogenic cell death in cancers such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and triple-negative breast cancer. Additionally, χ-Pharma has developed ACE2-based peptide mimics designed to block SARS-CoV-2 infection by mimicking the virus's natural cellular entry point.
