Southwest Pharmaceutical Factory No. 2 is a historical pharmaceutical manufacturing entity based in Chongqing, China, that played a foundational role in the region's chemical drug industry. Originally established as a state-owned enterprise, the factory specialized in the mass production of essential medicines, including analgesics, antipyretics, and antibiotics. It was particularly noted for its large-scale manufacturing of paracetamol and other active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The company underwent significant restructuring and was eventually integrated into Southwest Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which is now a key subsidiary of the Taiji Group.
