Gaogou Distillery is a historic Chinese liquor producer based in Gaogou Town, Jiangsu Province, with a brewing heritage dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Recognized as one of the traditional 'Four Famous Liquors' of the Huai-Hai region, the distillery was a prominent state-owned enterprise before undergoing a major restructuring in 1996. This restructuring led to the creation of Jiangsu King's Luck Brewery Joint-Stock Co., Ltd. (Jinshiyuan), which is now a leading publicly traded spirits company in China. The distillery specializes in the production of Baijiu using traditional solid-state fermentation techniques, and the 'Gaogou' brand has recently been revived as a high-end label focusing on traditional craftsmanship.
