1255205 Ontario Inc. was a Canadian biotechnology entity that operated as a subsidiary of Transition Therapeutics Inc. before being amalgamated into the parent company in 2007. Transition Therapeutics, the successor entity, was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel therapeutics for large market indications, particularly in the areas of central nervous system (CNS) disorders and metabolic diseases. Its lead programs included ELND-005 (scyllo-inositol) for Alzheimer's disease and TT-401, a dual GLP-1/glucagon receptor agonist for type 2 diabetes and obesity. The company was eventually acquired by OPKO Health in 2016 for approximately $60 million.
