1255206 Ontario Inc. was a Canadian biotechnology company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Transition Therapeutics Inc. The company served as a corporate vehicle for the acquisition of drug discovery assets, most notably the proteomics-based drug discovery technology from Protana Inc. in 2006. In July 2007, 1255206 Ontario Inc. was amalgamated with its parent company, Transition Therapeutics, along with other subsidiaries such as Waratah Pharmaceuticals and Ellipsis Neurotherapeutics, to streamline the corporate structure. Transition Therapeutics, the successor entity, focused on developing novel therapeutics for Alzheimer's disease and diabetes before being acquired by OPKO Health in 2016.
