3ClinicalResearch AG was a full-service Contract Research Organization (CRO) based in Germany, specializing in early-phase clinical development, specifically Phase I and IIa studies. The company operated specialized clinical units in Berlin, including facilities at the Charité University Hospital, and focused on providing fast-track solutions from first-in-man trials to proof-of-concept studies. Its core therapeutic expertise included dermatology, diabetes, and central nervous system (CNS) disorders, with a particular focus on studies involving special populations such as the elderly and patients with renal or hepatic impairment. In 2004, PAREXEL International acquired a minority stake in the company, and by April 2005, it completed the full acquisition of 3ClinicalResearch to strengthen its early-phase clinical pharmacology capabilities in Europe.
