3TP Imaging Sciences

3TP Imaging Sciences was a medical technology company specializing in computer-aided detection (CAD) and image analysis software for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Founded in 2002, the company commercialized the Three-Time-Point (3TP) method, a proprietary algorithm developed at the Weizmann Institute of Science for the automated analysis of contrast-enhanced MRI studies. The technology was primarily used to improve the diagnosis and monitoring of breast and prostate cancers by analyzing tissue permeability and extracellular volume. In 2005, the company rebranded as CAD Sciences to reflect its broader focus on computer-assisted diagnosis and expanded its product line to include the fTP (Full-Time-Point) algorithm. The company was ultimately acquired by iCAD in July 2008 for approximately $5 million, integrating its MRI CAD solutions into iCAD's oncology imaging portfolio.
