4C Medical is a clinical-stage medical device company focused on developing innovative therapies for structural heart disease, specifically targeting mitral and tricuspid valve regurgitation. The company's lead product, the AltaValve, is a transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) device that utilizes a unique supra-annular anchoring mechanism. Unlike traditional TMVR technologies that anchor within the native mitral annulus, AltaValve anchors in the left atrium, which helps avoid complications such as left ventricular outflow tract obstruction.
