Phase 3- Indications
- Mitral regurgitation
Company intelligence / Profile preview
The AltaValve System, a novel transcatheter mitral valve replacement device with atrial-only fixation, is currently being evaluated in the pivotal ATLAS trial for patients with moderate-to-severe or severe mitral regurgitation who are unsuitable for surgery or edge-to-edge repair. The system aims to minimize complications associated with traditional TMVR devices by avoiding sub-valvular anchoring and preserving native cardiac structures. Early clinical results have led to two FDA breakthrough designations.
