AAIPharma (originally Applied Analytical Industries) was a prominent global contract research organization (CRO) and contract manufacturing organization (CMO) providing comprehensive drug development services. The company's German subsidiary, AAIPharma Deutschland GmbH, was headquartered in Neu-Ulm and specialized in analytical services, clinical trial management, and pharmaceutical development. In 2010, the Neu-Ulm laboratory and clinical facilities were acquired by Nuvisan Pharma Services, marking the transition of its German operations. The parent company eventually merged with Cambridge Major Laboratories in 2016 to form Alcami, a leading provider of end-to-end drug development and manufacturing solutions. AAIPharma was recognized for its expertise in solid-state chemistry, formulation development, and analytical testing for both small molecules and biologics.
