AaviGen

AaviGen is a preclinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing curative gene therapies for cardiovascular and neuromuscular diseases. Spun out from Heidelberg University Hospital, the company leverages its proprietary AAV.CAP platform to engineer adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors with high cardiotropism and reduced liver uptake. Their lead programs target various forms of heart failure, including HFpEF and HFrEF, as well as Duchenne muscular dystrophy, by delivering therapeutic genes directly to the myocardium.
