Overview
Abcuro’s lead candidate ABC008, an anti-KLRG1 monoclonal antibody, has shown potent depletion of highly cytotoxic T cells in early clinical trials. Initial results from the Phase 1 trial in inclusion body myositis demonstrated safety and pharmacodynamic activity. The company has advanced to a registrational Phase 2/3 trial in IBM and a Phase 1/2 trial in T-LGLL. Orphan drug designation was granted by both FDA and EMA for IBM. The approach aims to treat autoimmune diseases and rare cancers by selectively targeting pathogenic immune cells while sparing beneficial ones.
