ABgene, originally known as Advanced Biotechnologies Ltd, was a leading developer and manufacturer of specialized products for molecular biology and genomic research. The company was widely recognized for its high-quality PCR and qPCR reagents, including specialized DNA polymerases and master mixes, as well as its extensive range of plastic consumables such as PCR plates and sealing films. ABgene also produced laboratory instrumentation, including thermal cyclers and plate sealers. Following its acquisition, the ABgene brand and its product portfolio were integrated into Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they continue to support researchers in the fields of drug discovery and clinical diagnostics.
