ABR Invent

ABR Invent was a French biotechnology company specializing in the development of advanced aesthetic dermatology products. The company's primary innovation was Atlean, a dermal filler based on beta-tricalcium phosphate (BTCP) technology designed to stimulate endogenous collagen production. Unlike traditional fillers that only provide temporary volume, ABR Invent's technology aimed to provide long-term tissue rejuvenation by promoting natural biological responses. In May 2008, the company was acquired by Stiefel Laboratories to strengthen its position in the global aesthetics market. Following the acquisition of Stiefel by GSK in 2009, the Atlean product was eventually phased out of the market.
