Absalus

Absalus was a privately held biopharmaceutical company based in Mountain View, California, that specialized in the discovery and development of high-affinity, humanized monoclonal antibodies. The company utilized a proprietary platform designed to optimize the selection and engineering of therapeutic antibodies, primarily for use in oncology and inflammatory diseases. In 2010, Absalus was acquired by Celgene Corporation, a move intended to strengthen Celgene's biologics capabilities and provide a foundation for its internal antibody discovery efforts. Following the acquisition, Absalus's technology and expertise were integrated into Celgene's research and development infrastructure, which subsequently became part of Bristol Myers Squibb.
