Abu Dhabi Medical Devices Company is a UAE-based medical device manufacturer focused on disposable medical consumables and injection-safety products. The company is part of Abu Dhabi National Industrial Projects and began commercial operations in 2000 after being established in 1999 as a joint venture involving ADNIP and Pharmaplan/NNE Pharmaplan of Germany. Its portfolio includes auto-disable syringes, single-use syringes, insulin syringes, tubes and catheters, IV administration devices, respiratory products, and PPE. ADMD states that it was the first and only manufacturer of auto-disable syringes in the Middle East and Africa and that it supplies NGOs, ministries of health, and private-sector customers in more than 60 countries. The company operates as a commercial-stage healthcare manufacturing business rather than a therapeutics developer.
