Accela

Archela (often referred to as Accela) is a South Korean biotechnology company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical, established in late 2023. The company operates under a "No Research, Development Only" (NRDO) model, focusing on the clinical development, out-licensing, and commercialization of drug candidates in-licensed from its parent company and other sources. Archela's core pipeline includes CKD-508, a CETP inhibitor for dyslipidemia; CKD-514, an oral GLP-1 agonist for obesity and diabetes; and CKD-513, a blood-brain barrier-crossing HDAC6 inhibitor for neurological disorders. The company aims to accelerate the global development of innovative therapies by concentrating resources on high-potential clinical programs.
