Accelerated Advanced Applications

Advanced Accelerator Applications is a radiopharmaceutical company focused on nuclear medicine, targeted radioligand therapies, and precision diagnostic imaging. The company was founded in 2002 in France and built a portfolio spanning therapeutic and diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals, including Lutathera for somatostatin receptor-positive gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. Novartis acquired Advanced Accelerator Applications in 2018 to strengthen its oncology and radioligand therapy platform. In December 2024, Siemens Healthineers acquired the Molecular Imaging business from Novartis, and that acquired unit continues to operate as Advanced Accelerator Applications, a Siemens Healthineers company. Today the name is associated with both the legacy radioligand therapy business integrated into Novartis and the active molecular imaging network operated by Siemens Healthineers.
