Accelerator Nordic AB was a Swedish life science incubator and investment company based in Stockholm that specialized in commercializing medical innovations from Nordic research institutions. Founded in 2003, the company operated by identifying high-potential intellectual property and developing these assets through dedicated subsidiary companies, providing them with management, funding, and strategic guidance. Accelerator Nordic was instrumental in the development and public listing of several successful Swedish biotech and medtech firms, most notably Egetis Therapeutics (formerly PledPharma), Spago Nanomedicine, and SyntheticMR. The company's model bridged the gap between academic research and the public markets, fostering a portfolio that spanned oncology, neurology, and diagnostics. In 2016, the company underwent a significant corporate restructuring, distributed its remaining life science holdings to shareholders, and changed its name to The Marketing Group PLC, effectively exiting the healthcare sector.
